Terms of Service

These terms apply to consumer purchases from Royal Thread and to your use of our online store. Please read them before placing an order.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Our store

Royal Thread uses Shopify to operate its online store. Purchases are made from the business operating Royal Thread. Shopify provides the platform and is not the seller of our goods.

Placing an order

Please check product details, quantities, delivery information and the total price before submitting your order.

An automated order acknowledgement confirms receipt of your order. Unless expressly stated otherwise, acceptance takes place when we send a dispatch confirmation.

If we cannot accept an order, we will inform you and refund any payment taken for the unaccepted goods without undue delay.

Once a contract has been accepted, we will not change its essential terms without your agreement or a lawful basis.

Product descriptions

We aim to describe products accurately. Please review the product description and any measurements, materials or care instructions before purchasing.

Screen settings may affect the appearance of colours. This does not remove your right to receive goods that match their description.

Prices and payment

Prices are expressed in pounds sterling, GBP (£), unless a different currency is expressly agreed.

Applicable taxes and delivery charges must be disclosed before you submit your order. Optional charges require your express agreement.

Accepted payment methods are shown at checkout. Orders may be subject to proportionate payment and fraud checks.

If we identify a pricing or product error before accepting your order, we will contact you where appropriate or decline the order and refund the affected payment. We will not automatically charge you a higher amount.

Delivery

Delivery options, charges and any applicable estimates are provided during the purchase process.

Unless a different delivery period is agreed, goods must be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract.

Goods remain at our risk until they come into your physical possession or that of a person you nominate, subject to the statutory exception where you independently commission a carrier not offered by us.

Cancellations, returns and faulty goods

Our Returns and Refund Policy explains cancellation, return and refund procedures.

Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Customer responsibilities

Provide accurate information necessary to process your order. Contact us promptly if you discover an error.

If you create an account, take reasonable steps to keep your login details secure.

Do not use the store unlawfully, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious software or interfere with other customers’ use of the service.

Intellectual property

Store content, branding, photographs and other materials are protected by applicable intellectual property rights belonging to their respective owners.

You may use the store for personal shopping. Other copying, distribution or commercial use requires permission unless permitted by law.

Reviews and submitted content

If you submit a review or other content, it must be lawful and must not infringe another person’s rights or contain personal information you are not entitled to share.

By submitting content for publication, you give Royal Thread a non-exclusive licence to display and reproduce it for the purpose for which it was submitted.

Reviews may be moderated for unlawful, abusive, irrelevant or fraudulent content. Honest negative reviews will not be removed merely because they are negative.

Liability

We are responsible for losses caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care where those losses were reasonably foreseeable.

Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The store is intended for consumer purchases. Any business purchase requires separately agreed terms.

Events outside our reasonable control

If an event outside our reasonable control affects an order, we will take reasonable steps to reduce its impact and communicate relevant changes.

Such an event does not remove your statutory rights, including applicable rights relating to delayed delivery or refunds.

Personal information

Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

Disputes and applicable law

Please contact us if you have a complaint so we can investigate.

Applicable UK consumer law governs purchases covered by these terms. Mandatory protections available in your country of residence remain unaffected where applicable.

Nothing requires you to bring a consumer claim exclusively in a jurisdiction that would deprive you of a right to use your local courts.

Changes to these terms

Changes apply to future purchases from the time they are published. The terms applicable to an existing order will not be changed retrospectively without your agreement or a lawful basis.
